2 Killed, 10 Wounded In Chicago Shootings Since Friday Morning

CHICAGO — Two people were killed and 10 others were injured in shootings since Friday morning in the city, police said.

In West Englewood, a man was found dead in the driver's seat of a parked car after being shot multiple times.

In Woodlawn, a man was killed and another was injured in a Friday night shooting.

In nonfatal shootings:

• At 2:24 a.m. inside Humboldt Park, a man and a woman were shot.

• A 20-year-old man was shot on a sidewalk in Belmont Cragin by two gunmen. The incident occurred in the 5000 block of West Grand Avenue at 1:26 a.m.

The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with a gunshot wound to his right thigh.

• In West Englewood, an 18-year-old man was shot in a possible drive-by Friday night. The incident occurred in the 6000 block of South Hermitage Avenue at 10:35 p.m.

The man, taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center after being shot in his left leg, told police he was on the corner when someone from a passing newer model Nissan Altima shot at him.

• A 47-year-old man was shot in his leg and groin in Hermosa.

A dark-colored Jeep with four people inside pulled up next to him in the 2400 block of North Kildare Avenue at 8:33 p.m. They yelled gang slogans at him before shooting him.

• A 17-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man were shot in Austin.

The incident occurred at 7:11 p.m. in the 5100 block of West Madison Street. Both were walking when a silver Nissan pulled up and two people inside shot at them.

The boy was taken to Stroger Hospital after being shot multiple times in his torso.

The man was shot in his right side at taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.

• A 26-year-old man was shot in his foot while walking with a friend in Roseland.

The incident occurred in the 300 block of West 99th Place at 1:32 p.m. when two people inside a nearby shot at them.

The victim was taken to Roseland Hospital.

• A 17-year-old boy was shot in his leg while he was in a fight in Auburn Gresham.

The incident occurred in the 8200 block of South Sangamon Street at 3:02 p.m.

After the fight, the boy fled to the 8200 block of South Emerald Avenue where he realized he was shot. He was taken to St. Bernard Hospital.
