Armani Horton, 18, Killed In Woodlawn Shooting, Officials Say

CHICAGO — Armani Horton, 18, was shot dead and another man wounded Friday in Woodlawn, officials said.

The shooting happened at 7:06 p.m. inside a building in the 6500 block of South King Drive, where the Parkway Gardens Apartments are located, police said.

A man was shot in his upper back and taken to Northwestern Hospital in critical condition.

Horton, of the 7000 block of South Normal, was pronounced dead at 7:54 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

A 25-year-old man was also taken to Northwestern Hospital in good condition after being shot in his knee.

No one is in custody.
