4 Dead, 30 Wounded In Shootings Since Friday, Police Say

CHICAGO — Shootings over the weekend killed four people and wounded 30 others, according to police.

Despite the snow, one was killed and eight others were wounded in shootings on Sunday, police said. The day recorded three shootings with more than one victim, according to police.

A 42-year-old man was shot dead inside a Chatham home Sunday night, police said.

Shootings killed two and wounded nine others Saturday. On Friday, one man was killed and 13 other people were wounded, police said.

In non-fatal shootings:

• At 10:40 p.m., three men were shot in Humboldt Park, police said. 

• At 9 p.m., three men were shot in the Near West Side, police said.

• At 2:30 p.m., two men were shot in East Garfield Park, police said.

They were walking in the 200 block of South California Avenue when two men inside a white sedan got out of the car and began firing, police said.

A 23-year-old man was struck in his chest and left leg and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said. A second 23-year-old man was struck in his right shoulder and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was not released but police considered him to be stable. Both victims are documented gang members, police said.

No arrests have been, police said.
