Near West Side Shooting Wounds 3, Police Say

CHICAGO — Three men were shot while walking in the Near West Side Sunday night, according to police.

The men were walking westbound at 9 p.m. in the 2400 block of West Jackson Boulevard when a black Chrysler 300 drove by and someone inside began firing, police said.

A 22-year-old man was struck in his head and was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, police said.

A 24-year-old man was shot in his stomach and a 25-year-old man was shot in his buttocks, police said. Both men were taken to Stroger Hospital, where their conditions weren't released but police considered them to be stable.

The shooting was gang related, a police source said.

No arrests have been made.
