CHICAGO — Shootings on the South and West sides wounded five people since Thursday afternoon, according to police.

Two teenagers were shot Thursday afternoon, including a 15-year-old boy shot in North Lawndale and a 16-year-old wounded in a Near West Side attack.

• Early Friday, a 41-year-old man was shot in Back of the Yards, police said.

The man was walking on the sidewalk in the 1000 block of West Garfield Boulevard at 1:50 a.m. Friday when someone in a dark-colored car opened fire, police said.

He was stuck in the right leg and managed to get himself to University of Chicago Hospital, where his condition was not released but police said he was stable.

• A 36-year-old woman was shot in Washington Park late Thursday, police said.

The woman was about to enter her car at 11:27 p.m. in the 6100 block of South Indiana Avenue when shots rang out and she was hit in the left foot, police said. The woman drove herself to University of Chicago Hospital, where her condition was not released but police said she was stable.

• An 18-year-old man was wounded in a Gage Park shooting Thursday night, police said. 

The man was sitting on a front porch in the 5800 block of South Artesian Avenue at 9:10 p.m. when a man fired shots from a nearby gangway, police said.

He was shot in his right leg and was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where his condition was not released but police considered him to be stable.

No arrests have been made in any of the incidents, police said.
