CHICAGO — A 16-year-old boy was wounded in a Near West Side shooting Thursday night, according to police.

The boy was in the 2100 block of West Monroe Street at around 8 p.m. when shots rang out, police said.

He was hit in the leg and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not released but police considered him to be stable.

No arrests have been made, police said.
