CHICAGO — A man was killed and seven others were wounded in shootings on the South and West Side between Sunday morning and Monday morning, police said.

The man, 33, died after being shot in his back in West Pullman, according to Officer Nicole Trainor, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

• Most recently, around 10:40 p.m. Sunday night, a 19-year-old man was sitting outside in the 13200 block of South Corliss Avenue in the Riverdale neighborhood when a man walked up and shot him once in each leg, police said.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, Trainor said. Police could not provide his condition but said he was "stable."

• At 10:15 p.m., police responded to a call of shots fired in the 2400 block of East 78th Street in South Shore, where they found a 24-year-old man shot in the vestibule of a building, Trainor said.

The man had been standing outside when someone shot at him from a passing white Chevy Cavalier, police said.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was "stable" with a gunshot wound in his stomach, police said.

Police said the man is a documented gang member.

• Around 9:45 p.m., two men were driving in the 5500 block of South Indiana Avenue in the Washington Park neighborhood when a man wearing "white clothing" walked up and shot at them at a red light, police said.

One man, 21, was taken to Stroger Hospital after being shot in his left arm and his chest, police said.

The other man, 32, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound in his back.

Both men were "stable," police said.

• At 7:41 p.m., a 17-year-old was standing in the 4300 block of South Michigan Avenue in Bronzeville when someone shot at him from a dark-colored car, Trainor said.

The teen was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition with a gunshot wound in his back, Trainor said.

• Around 3:20 p.m. Sunday afternoon, a 23-year-old man was standing in the 0-100 block of North Albany Avenue in East Garfield Park when two men jumped out of a nearby light-colored sedan and shot at him, police said.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was "stable" with gunshot wounds in his arm, chest and leg, Trainor said.

Police said the man is a documented gang member.

• At 2:27 p.m., an 18-year-old man was sitting at a bus stop in the 6100 block of North California Avenue in Chicago Lawn when someone shot at him from a passing red sedan, Trainor said.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was listed in good condition with a gunshot wound in his right knee, Trainor said.

No one is in custody for any of the shootings, police said.

Another 16 people were shot, one fatally, between Saturday and early Sunday.
