WEST PULLMAN — A 33-year-old man died after being shot in his back in West Pullman Sunday night, police said.

Around 10:15 p.m., the man was standing in the 11500 block of South Perry Avenue when two men walked up and shot at him, according to police.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition after being shot in his back, police said. He was later pronounced dead.

The man was identified as Demetrius A. Warren, of the 8400 block of South Colfax, in Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records. Warren was pronounced dead at 11:08 p.m. An autopsy showed he died of a gunshot wound in his back in a homicide.

No one is in custody, police said.
