CHICAGO — Ten people were wounded in shootings Wednesday, police said.

• Most recently, at 10 p.m., a 27-year-old man was shot while outside in West Pullman, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The man was standing on the sidewalk in the 12700 block of South Harvard when he heard shots and felt pain.

The back of the man's head was grazed by a bullet, Pacheco said, and he was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center. His condition was not released, but he was listed as "stable," Pacheco said.

• At 8:24 p.m., a 28-year-old man was shot in Englewood, Pacheco said. The man was standing on the sidewalk in the 5600 block of South Carpenter Street when someone in a burgundy minivan fired shots at him.

The man was hit in the right leg and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not released but he was listed as "stable," Pacheco said.

The man was a documented gang member, police said.

• At 8:10 p.m., a 23-year-old man wounded during a shooting in Austin, Pacheco said. The man was standing on the sidewalk in the 5300 block of West Chicago Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain.

The man was shot in the abdomen and took himself to Loretto Hospital, where he was in fair condition, Pacheco said.

• At 4:40 p.m., an 18-year-old man was shot while walking outside in Chatham.

• At 4:30 p.m., an 18-year-old man was shot in Marquette Park, Pacheco said. The man was in a car in the 2500 block of West Lithuanian Plaza when someone in a large group gathered on the block fired shots at him.

The man was hit in the left shoulder and took himself to Holy Cross Hospital, where he was in good condition, Pacheco said.

• At 2:56 p.m., a 19-year-old man was shot while running down an alley in West Pullman.

• At 2:03 p.m., a 22-year-old man was shot while walking home in North Lawndale.

• At 12:10 p.m., a 38-year-old man was shot in the thigh while walking in Woodlawn.

• At 10:45 a.m., a 37-year-old man was shot in Brighton Park, Pacheco said. The man was driving in the 3900 block of South Western Avenue when someone in a white sedan fired shots at the man.

The man was hit in the right knee. He was at Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not released but he was listed as "stable," Pacheco said.

• At 9:40 a.m., a 16-year-old boy was shot in the face and arm while outside in Woodlawn.

In an incident that occurred 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, a 14-year-old boy was shot while walking in an alley in the 1500 block of South Drake Avenue in North Lawndale, Pacheco said. A green minivan stopped at the mouth of the alley and someone inside the car shot at the boy multiple times.

The boy didn't tell anyone about the shooting until Wednesday morning, Pacheco said. His family took him to Rush Hospital, where he was in good condition with a graze wound in the right side of his abdomen.

No one was in custody in the shootings.
