By Kelly Bauer | April 13, 2016 1:21pm

CHICAGO — A 38-year-old man and 16-year-old boy were wounded in separate shootings on Wednesday in Woodlawn, police said.

At 12:10 p.m., the man was walking near the 6400 block of South Evans when a maroon SUV drove up and someone inside fired shots at the man, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was hit in his thigh and was driven to Northwestern Hospital, where his condition was not released but he was listed as "stable," Sedevic said. The shooter drove away.

Earlier in the day, at 9:40 a.m., the 16-year-old boy was outside in the 600 block of East 62nd Street when someone in a red car fired shots, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The boy was hit in his face and arm and was taken to Comer Children's Hospital, where he was in fair condition, Pacheco said.

No one was in custody in the shootings.
