CHICAGO — Four men were killed and another nine people were hurt, including a 14-year-old girl, in citywide shootings between Tuesday morning and Wednesday morning, police said.

Three separate shootings left two men dead and another wounded within a tiny area of Back of the Yards, police said.

A man was found shot to death in West Humboldt Park early Wednesday morning, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

Less than two hours earlier, another man was found dead in West Garfield Park, Estrada said.

An argument in a Downtown gas station late Tuesday night ended with an 18-year-old man shot in his chest, police said.

A 14-year-old girl was accidentally shot, Estrada said, when someone tried to show her a gun in Greater Grand Crossing.

A teenager was shot while walking in North Center, Estrada said.

Another man, 19, was shot in his foot in Uptown Tuesday evening, Estrada said.

• Around 8:40 p.m. Tuesday, a 21-year-old man walked into Rush Hospital with a gunshot wound in the back of his neck, Estrada said.

The man had been driving in the 4800 block of West Madison Street in Austin when he heard gunshots and felt pain, Estrada said.

The man was transferred to Stroger Hospital, Estrada said. Police could not provide his condition but said he was "stable."

• Around 2 p.m. Tuesday, Estrada said, a 42-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk in the 4400 block of West Maypole Avenue in West Garfield Park when someone jumped out of a nearby car and shot at him.

The man was brought to Stroger Hospital with a gunshot wound in his leg, Estrada said. Police could not provide his condition but said he was "stable."

• About two hours earlier, Estrada said, a 21-year-old man was shot in his buttocks in the 7100 block of South May Street in Englewood.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, Estrada said. Police could not provide his condition but said he was "stable."

No one is in custody for any of the shootings, Estrada said.
