UPTOWN — A 19-year-old man was shot in his foot in Uptown Tuesday evening, police said.

The man was brought to Illinois Masonic Hospital after being shot in the 5100 block of North Sheridan Road, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

Police could not provide the man's condition but said he was "stable."

The man is a documented gang member, police said.

Police could not immediately provide any other information on the shooting.

No one is in custody, Estrada said.
