WEST GARFIELD PARK — A 24-year-old man was shot to death in West Garfield Park late Tuesday morning, police said.

Around 11 a.m., the man was walking in the first block of North Keeler Avenue when someone walked up and shot him multiple times, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Estrada said.

The man was identified as Jarvis Coleman, of the 700 block of South Kostner, in Cook County Medical Examiner's records. Coleman was pronounced dead at 11:23 a.m. of multiple gunshot wounds.

No one is in custody, Estrada said.
