CHICAGO — While we're waiting for some 50-degree days later this week, let this tranquil aerial video of skaters at Maggie Daley Park's ice ribbon ease your winter angst:
The video, shot via drone by Chicago-based Soaring Badger Productions, was posted to Facebook on Monday morning and has since blown up on social media. Is that why we're writing about it? Yes, but also because the scene is so serene compared to this somewhat miserable day.
The ice ribbon debuted in late 2014 and is already a popular attraction that can draw long lines even in the middle of weekdays. Admission is free, but skate rentals cost $12.
