CHICAGO — One man was killed and 20 other people wounded in shootings around the city since midday Friday, police said.

Six men were wounded since Sunday morning, including two within three blocks of each other in Back of the Yards, according to police.

The homicide occurred around 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Rogers Park, when Eric Jordan, of the 4600 block of North Racine Avenue, was gunned down at Willye B. White Park, police said.

Two men were in good condition after being wounded in a drive-by shooting in Englewood Sunday afternoon, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

Late Sunday night, a 24-year-old man was shot in his leg in Uptown, Estrada said.

• Most recently, at 1:20 a.m. Monday morning, police found a 28-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds in the 5400 block of South Paulina Avenue in Back of the Yards, Estrada said.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition stabilized, Estrada said. He had been shot in his lower abdomen and his buttocks.

Police said the man is being uncooperative with authorities and has not said how the shooting occurred.

• Around 11 p.m. Sunday night, a 21-year-old man was standing in an alley in the 0-100 block of East 100th Street in Roseland when he heard gunshots and felt pain, Estrada said.

The man was brought to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where his condition stabilized after he was treated for a gunshot wound in his right knee, Estrada said.

• At 2:38 p.m. Sunday, a 29-year-old man was standing in the 5400 block of South Damen Avenue in Back of the Yards when someone shot at him out of a passing red minivan, Estrada said.

The man was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, Estrada said, after being treated for a gunshot wound in his right wrist.

Police said the man is a documented gang member.

Another nine people, including three teenagers, were hurt in shootings between Saturday morning and Sunday morning, police said.

Before that, five men were shot Friday and early Saturday, police said.
