CHICAGO — A man was killed and nine other people were hurt in shootings across the city between Saturday Morning and Sunday morning, police said.

Most recently, around 4:15 a.m. Sunday, 24-year-old woman walked into Swedish Covenant Hospital after being shot in West Ridge, Sedevic said.

About 25 minutes earlier, a 16-year-old boy was shot twice while driving in Irving Park, Sedevic said.

• Around 9:40 p.m. Saturday, three men were wounded in a shooting in West Garfield Park, police said.

The men were standing on the sidewalk in the 4000 block of West Arthington Street when someone walked out of a nearby alley and shot at them, Sedevic said.

One man, 39, was shot in his leg and his groin, Sedevic said. Another, 41, was grazed in his arm, and the third, 45, was shot in his buttocks.

All three men were brought to Mount Sinai Hospital, where their conditions stabilized, Sedevic said. Police could not say the severity of their injuries.

• At 6:45 p.m., a 19-year-old man was driving with his girlfriend in the 5900 block of West Wrightwood Avenue when four men pulled alongside them in a small black four-door sedan, "exchanged words" with the man then shot at him, Sedevic said.

The man's girlfriend drove him to Community First Hospital, where his condition stabilized after he was treated for three gunshot wounds in his leg, Sedevic said.

Police said the man is a documented gang member.

• Around 10:35 a.m. Saturday, a 16-year-old boy was walking in the 7500 block of South Peoria Avenue in Auburn Gresham when someone pulled up in a red car, got out and shot at him, police said.

The boy was taken to Stroger Hospital after being shot in his right hand and grazed in his chest, Sedevic said. He was listed in fair condition.

• About an hour earlier, a 22-year-old man was driving in the 100 block of South Homan Avenue in East Garfield Park when a light-colored car pulled up alongside him and someone inside fired shots, Sedevic said.

The man drove himself to Rush Hospital, Sedevic said, and he was soon transferred to Stroger Hospital. The man's condition was "stable" after he was shot in his abdomen, Sedevic said. She did not say the severity of his injuries.
