CHICAGO — Since Friday afternoon, 12 people have been wounded wounded and four have been killed in shootings across the city.

On Sunday, five people were wounded in shootings.

The most recent shooting occurred around 11:15 p.m. in Englewood. A 29-year-old man was shot while walking in the 7000 block of South Vincennes Avenue when a man got out of a white car and opened fire, said Office Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The shooter got back into the car and drove off, The 29-year-old man was shot in his side and taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition as stabilized, Sedevic said.

Around 4:50 p.m., a 16-year-old boy was shot in his leg during a drive-by in the 6100 block of South Rockwell Street in Chicago Lawn. The boy was taken to Mount Sinai and was listed in good condition, Sedevic said.

About an hour earlier, a 22-year-old man was shot in his buttocks in Englewood. The man was walking in the 6800 block of South Hoyne Avenue when the shooting occurred about 3:30 p.m., Sedevic said.

The man drove himself to Holy Cross Hospital, but was transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in good condition, Sedevic said.

Sunday afternoon, a 17-year-old girl was shot in her foot after getting into an argument with her ex-boyfriend. After the argument around 1:50 p.m., the man returned to the 1400 block of West 88th Street in Auburn Gresham and shot her in the ankle. She was taken to Christ Hospital, where she was treated and released, Sedevic said.

Around 11:40 a.m., a 25-year-old man was walking in the 4200 block of West Cermak Avenue when a blue van pulled alongside him and someone inside opened fire. The man was shot in his left leg and listed in good condition at Mount Sinai, Sedevic said.

No one is in custody for the shootings.

On Saturday, a 42-year-old man was fatally shot in Auburn Gresham and a 16-year-old boy was fatally shot in Englewood.

Friday evening, a 13-year-old boy was among three wounded on the South Side. Friday afternoon, two people were killed on the South Side and another four people were shot.
