CHICAGO — A 13-year-old boy was among three wounded in separate shootings on the South Side Friday evening, police said.

In Roseland at 5:15 p.m., the 13-year-old boy was standing on the street in the 10300 block of South Wallace Street when he heard shots and felt pain, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago police spokeswoman.

The boy was shot in his leg and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Park where he was listed in good condition, Sedevic said.

In Englewood at 6:15 p.m., a 20-year old was walking in the 400 block of East 71st Street when an unknown man walked up and fired shots, striking the victim in his chin, Sedevic said.

The man was taken to John H. Stroger Hospital where his condition had stabilized, Sedevic said.

Fifteen minutes earlier in Grand Boulevard, a 17-year-old boy was walking in the 5100 block of South Champlain Avenue when someone in a passing vehicle fired shots, Sedevic said.

The teen drove himself to Mercy Hospital with a graze wound to his buttocks and was listed in good condition, Sedevic said.

Earlier Friday, two people were killed and at least four wounded in shootings throughout the city.
