CHICAGO — Two people were killed and another four were shot across the city Friday.

Around 11:30 a.m., a man was shot multiple times when a man got out of a gold car and opened fire in the 5800 block of South King Drive in Washington Park. The man was taken to Northwestern Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, said Officer Veejay Zala, a Chicago Police spokesman.

Jerome Anderson, 22, of the 7900 block of South Wabash Street, was pronounced dead at 12:08 p.m., the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said.

About two hours later in the same neighborhood, a 20-year-old man was shot in his left foot. He was walking in the 5100 block of South Prairie Avenue around 1:20 p.m. when someone opened fire, Zala said.

He was taken to St. Bernard Hospital in an unknown condition, Zala said.

Around 2 p.m., an 18-year-old man was shot multiple times in the 7000 block of South Normal Avenue in Englewood. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Zala said.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as Azun Buckner, of the 6900 block of South Eggleston Avenue.

Two hours later, a 24-year-old man was shot in Brighton Park. Around 4:05 p.m., the man was walking with a woman in the 1600 block of West 51st Street when a man walked up to him and shot him in his back, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized. The incident was possibly domestic-related, Sweeney said.

Around 4:38 p.m., two men were shot in Gage Park. The two men were walking in the 3200 block of West 60th Street when a man exited his car and got into an argument with them before opening fire, Sweeney said.

A 22-year-old man was shot in his shoulder and leg and a 24-year-old man was shot in his back. The men took themselves to Holy Cross Hospital, where their conditions were stabilized, Sweeney said.

The incident appeared to be gang related, Sweeney said.

No one is in custody for the shootings.
