BRIDGEPORT — Church leaders at St. Mary of Perpetual Help will throw open the rectory's garage door for what's billed as Bridgeport's biggest garage sale.

Now in its eighth year, the sale takes place 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday at the Catholic church, 1039 W. 32nd St.

Organizers say the event will be packed with tools, toys, electronics, furniture, home decorations and much more — all items that have been donated to the church. Two dozen other vendors from the neighborhood will also be selling their wares.

Lunch and refreshments will be sold.

The annual sale features an all-you-can-grab "power hour" at 5 p.m., where you can stuff a bag for $1 apiece, "as many bags as you want," organizers say.

For more information about the sale and how to reserve a table to sell your items, call the church office at 773-927-6646.
