CHICAGO — Police on Friday issued an alert for a man wanted in connection to a Chicago Lawn murder earlier this month in which a man was fatally shot and his mother wounded after an argument.

Keith Martin, 47, was named as the suspect who fatally shot Addarrius Thompson, 27, and wounded his mother, 50. Police believe Martin to be armed and dangerous.

He was last seen driving a grey 2002 Ford F-150 with Illinois license plate 1220475B. The truck bed has a distinctive toolbox.

Police say the three people were arguing early on the morning of July 12 in the 6200 block of South Rockwell Avenue.

Martin left the apartment after the argument and returned with a handgun, police said. He shot the Thompson, fatally striking him in the chest, and wounded the woman in her chest, police said.

Thompson, of the same block, died on the scene. The woman was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, police said.

Police say the shooting was domestic related.
