This year's budget for Taft is $500,000 less than last year, Principal Mark Grishaber said.

Nitsche was hired Friday at the Catholic school after spending 14 years working in public education.

The schools included Darwin, Deneen, Disney II, Funston, Goudy, Penn, Smyth and Solomon.
