Registration for parks west of California starts Monday, east of California starts Tuesday.

The shop in West Lawn Park is the Chicago Park District's only place to take auto repair classes.

Police will be asked to write tickets, and the park's board may hire security, Ald. Danny Solis said.  

Mayor Rahm Emanuel submitted the proposal at Wednesday's City Council meeting.
