HUMBOLDT PARK — A series of free workshops for industrious teens is making a stop in Humboldt Park Jan. 31.

The Youth Professional Development Series kicks off Saturday at the Humboldt Park Gallery, 1440 N. Sacramento from noon to 2 p.m. Teens aged 13 and up will learn personal and professional development skills alongside their peers.

The series, organized by the Chicago Park District’s Teens in the Park group, is “dedicated to uniting teens across the city of Chicago and keeping them informed on Chicago Park District events, opportunities and programs.”

The series runs each Saturday from January 10 to March 28 at various parks throughout the city, and attendees are urged to visit sessions outside of their immediate area.

But sign up for the Humboldt Park slots now — there are only 15 left.
