A proposal to build bicycle lanes along Austin Avenue failed to get enough votes, Ald. John Arena said.

The fair will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hitch Elementary, 5625 N. McVicker Ave.

The proposal is likely to draw opposition from neighbors who say it is too dense for Jefferson Park.

Plans for a similar, but smaller, apartment complex fell apart in October 2014.
