The restaurant shuttered after five years in business on Lincoln Avenue.

Treasures from the iconic Greektown restaurant's 48 years in business hit the auction block [PHOTOS].

"No small store can afford what they want around here in rent," a boutique owner lamented.

Derek Rylon said he's debating a barbecue restaurant in Bronzeville, but not Batter and Berries.

The organic burger joint could signal a revival on the troubled Lakeview corridor.

The juice joint will expand to offer a full menu.

The last day will be Sunday, the owner said via social media.

Bonny's operated at 2417 N. Milwaukee Ave. until 2012 and the storefront has been closed since.

"The lease was not up. [It was] just time to close doors and see what's next," owner Baris Yuksel said.

The new cafe on Fulton will be the specialty coffee roaster's first in the city. 

"This store, it just kind of has a different feel," said one shopper.  

The first indoor axe facility in America won't be BYOB as planned, but will launch a league this fall. 

The restaurant will open at 6230 N. Broadway first as a BYOB, but will later serve drinks.

An owner of the hot chicken joint said he plans to open in Lincoln Park instead.
