WEST LOOP — Burglars struck apartments in the West Loop and West Town recently, often in the middle of the day, police said Thursday.

The first series of linked burglaries was in the 300 block of North Desplaines Street in the West Loop Gate, one block west of Carnivale and the Kenney Expy.

Police said burglars broke into apartments in three incidents. The first was between 6 a.m. Sept. 25 and 6 a.m. the next morning, while the other two followed at 9 a.m. Sept. 26 and between 6:15 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sept. 27.

There was no description of the burglar available, police said.

Farther west near Ogden International High School, burglars broke into two apartments in the 1200 block of West Huron Street on Sept. 28. The first was between 5:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., and the second was between 10:10 a.m. and 2:55 p.m.

Police had no description of burglars in those cases either.
