UPTOWN — Uptown will showcase its culinary diversity with its annual food crawl this month.

From 6-9 p.m. on Sept. 27, the second annual Taste of Uptown returns with "small bites and samplings" of Uptown restaurants along Wilson Avenue and Broadway, according to a release for the event.

Participants will receive a passport at the check-in location Fat Cat Restaurant and Bar, 4840 N. Broadway, the release said.

Participating restaurants include: Demera Ethiopian, Emerald City, Everybody's Coffee, Fat Cat Restaurant and Bar, First Sip Cafe, Heritage Outpost, Immm Rice and Beyond, Kal'ish Short Order Vegan, Klein's Bakery and Cafe, Longacre Pizza, My Chocolate Soul, North Buena Deli and Wine, Provisions Uptown, Sol's on Sheridan and Tesfa Ethiopian.

Advanced tickets for the event cost $25 and $35 at the door. Tickets are available here.

A portion of the ticket sales will go towards Inspiration Corporation, which helps "those who are homeless increase their self sufficiency," according to the release.

Larry's at the Lawrence House, 1020 W. Lawrence Ave., will offer 25 percent off drafts, cocktails and wine with a Taste of Uptown passport starting at 8 p.m.
