34 People Shot, 7 Dead In Chicago Since Saturday Morning

CHICAGO — Shootings have killed seven people and wounded 27 since Saturday morning as another wave of violence rocked the city, police said.

The murders spanned from the far north end of the city to the far South Side.

• At 5:10 a.m. Sunday, a 30-year-old man was shot dead while driving in Brighton Park.

• At 4:30 a.m., a 32-year-old man was slain in a shooting in Rogers Park. Two other people were wounded.

• At 2:30 a.m., seven people were shot and one of them killed in West Pullman.

• At 2 a.m., a 22-year-old man was gunned down in University Village.

• At 1:25 a.m., a shooting in West Englewood killed a 22-year-old man. Another man was wounded in the attack.

• At 4:20 p.m. Saturday, a 24-year-old man was shot to death in Englewood.

• At 4:30 a.m., a 26-year-old man was shot dead in West Pullman. A 45-year-old woman was wounded.

In non-fatal shootings:

• At 3:45 a.m. Sunday, a 17-year-old was shot in Pilsen.

• At 2:15 a.m., a 34-year-old woman was shot in Austin, police said. The woman was standing in the street in the 5100 block of West Concord Place when someone in a passing Dodge Charger fired shots.

The woman was hit in her right foot and she was taken to West Suburban Hospital. Her condition was not available but she was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 1:35 a.m., a 60-year-old man was shot in Bronzeville, police said. The man was driving in the first block of East 43rd Street when someone fired a shot.

The man was hit in his right shoulder and he took himself to Mercy Hospital in good condition, police said.

Officials did not know from where the shot was fired.

• At 12:45 a.m., a 27-year-old man was shot in Back of the Yards, police said. The man was driving in the 4500 block of South Wood Street when someone fired shots.

The man was hit in his head and he crashed into a tree, police said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.

• At 11:30 p.m. Saturday, three people were shot in Austin, police said. The victims were part of a group standing in the street in the 5000 block of West Ferdinand Street when two people got into a fight and someone fired shots.

A 30-year-old man was hit in his chest and right leg and he was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, police said.

A 32-year-old woman was hit in her left leg and a 62-year-old man was hit in his left leg. They were taken to West Suburban Hospital, where their conditions were not available but they were listed as "stable," police said.

• At 11:10 p.m., three people were shot in Austin, police said. The victims were standing in the street in the 5100 block of West Chicago Avenue when two people in masks walked up to them and fired shots.

A 30-year-old man was shot in his back and he was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, police said.

A 19-year-old man was shot in his left hip and left leg and a 24-year-old man was shot in his left arm. They were taken to West Suburban Hospital, where their conditions were not available but they were listed as "stable," police said.

• At 10 p.m., a 36-year-old man was shot in Humboldt Park.

• At 9:35 p.m., a 16-year-old boy was shot in Garfield Park, police said. The boy was walking in the 700 block of North Lawndale Avenue when he saw two groups of people firing shots near an alley. The boy then realized he'd been hit.

The boy was shot in his right leg and he was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 9:15 p.m., a 42-year-old man was shot in Austin, police said. The man was sitting in a parked car in the 5800 block of West Augusta Boulevard when a black Jeep Wrangler pulled alongside him and someone inside the Jeep fired shots.

The man was hit in his left leg and he took himself to West Suburban Hospital. His condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 8:12 p.m., a 17-year-old was shot in Garfield Park, police said. The teen was in the 4700 block of West Fulton Street when he was hit in his left knee.

The teen was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.

No further information was immediately available.

• At 7:42 p.m., a 20-year-old man was shot in Auburn Gresham, police said. The man was in the 900 block of West 83rd Street when a dark-colored SUV pulled up and someone inside the car fired shots.

The man was hit in his head and he was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

The attacker drove away, police said.

• At 6:26 p.m., a 21-year-old man and 20-year-old man were shot while walking outside in Logan Square.

No one was in custody in these shootings.
