PILSEN — A free house music festival returns to Pilsen this weekend with 16 of the city's DJs and some of Pilsen's best grub.

My House Music Festival kicks off at noon Saturday and Sunday at 18th Street and Blue Island Avenue, expanding what began as a one-day fest into a full weekend dance party.

While entry to the festival itself is free, VIP tickets are $50 per day or $80 for the weekend, and they come with quite the list of perks. VIPs have access to a private seating area and — even better — private bathrooms separate from the festival's main ground.

There's also unlimited Lagunitas, the fest's only liquor cash bar and snacks. Best of all: You can shell out the dough with a clear conscience, because all net proceeds go to charity.

This year, the festival will donate the money to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, which raises money for local children's hospitals, and the Chicago-based Sprouting Leaders nonprofit.

Vendors at the event include Mexican jewelry designers, vintage accessories and XICX Zine Collective. Restaurants with food tents include La Cebollita, Xurro, La Patrona food truck, Pork Chop, El Campeon Piña Colada, Bacci's and Los Comales.
