COOK COUNTY CRIMINAL COURTHOUSE — The man who fondled a 4-year-old girl on a CTA bus in 2015 has been sentenced to 15 years in prison, court records show.
Judex Colon, 34, pleaded guilty Thursday to predatory criminal sexual assault and aggravated criminal sexual abuse in the Jan. 6, 2015, attack, which happened on a CTA bus on the Near West Side.
Colon had just finished registering as a sex offender for an earlier conviction when he spotted the girl and her mother on the bus, prosecutors said. Colon, then 32, sat next to the 4-year-old girl and fondled her underneath her clothing.

Cook County Judge Thomas Byrne sentenced Colon to 15 years in prison. Colon was credited with serving 847 days in custody while awaiting trial, court records show.
In 2008, Colon was convicted of molesting two girls, ages 5 and 12, while working as a ride operator at an Indiana county fair. In one incident, prosecutors said, Colon stopped a ride to inappropriately touch a girl.
Colon has been required to register as a sex offender since that conviction.
