UPTOWN — Baker and Nosh served its last cup of coffee at 1313 W. Wilson Ave. Tuesday.

Following the closure, the neighborhood bakery and coffee shop will begin its move one block east to 4600 N. Magnolia Ave., the company said in a press release Tuesday.

Baker and Nosh was opened by Bill Millholland and Terry Groff in 2012.

“This location offers more space with just over 2,000 square feet and room for 50 seats,” said Groff. “The extra space will allow for a more efficient layout, making it much easier for folks in a rush to stop by the bakery for coffee and a pastry to-go.”

The new location will also have updated decor, an outdoor patio, and a larger selection of grab-and-go snacks, the press release said.

Baker and Nosh will open at the new location in late April, the release said.

Baker and Nosh is working on an "overall expansion" that includes opening a second location in Edgewater, the owners said.
