The shooting came the day after Chicago hit its 100-murder milestone for 2017 at the earliest point in years.

A 16-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting in Little Village on Wednesday night, police said.

At 6:52 p.m., the boy was in the 2200 block of South Central Park Avenue when his head was grazed by a bullet, police said.

On Wednesday morning, 60-year-old Jose Correa was found fatally shot in a garage in Little Village.

At 7:26 a.m., officers were called to a home in the 2700 block of South Central Park Avenue after family members found the man lying on the floor of the garage, police said.

The man was unresponsive and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where it was found he had been shot in his back, neck and mouth, police said.
