CHICAGO — Jose Correa, 60, was found fatally shot in a garage in Little Village on Wednesday morning, officials said.
At 7:26 a.m., officers were called to a home in the 2700 block of South Central Park Avenue after family members found the man lying on the floor of the garage, police said.
The man was unresponsive and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where it was found he had been shot in his back, neck and mouth, police said.
Correa, of the same block where he was killed, was pronounced dead at 7:45 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
No one was in custody.
Police originally said the man was 61 years old.
