WEST LOOP — A West Loop group will ask neighbors to weigh in on needed infrastructure improvements in the neighborhood at a meeting Thursday.

The needs assessment workshop, hosted by the West Loop Community Organization, will kickoff at 7 p.m. Thursday at Merit School of Music, 38 S. Peoria St.

At the meeting, neighbors, business owners and other stakeholders will be asked to participate in breakout sessions to identify infrastructure needs in the following areas: transportation, traffic, safety, beautification.

Neighborhood input will help ensure that adequate community infrastructure is provided to accommodate the West Loop's future growth, said Carla Agostinelli, executive director of the West Loop Community Organization.

Feedback from the workshop will be presented to West Loop aldermen as they plan their respective ward budgets, including the allocation of Neighborhood Opportunity Bonus Fund dollars.
