UNIVERSITY VILLAGE — Diplo, Afrojack and Chicago's own Krewella and Louis The Child are among a host of headliners slated to rock electronic dance music festival Spring Awakening this summer, promoters announced Wednesday.

More than 80 artists are expected to perform across five stages at the three-day outdoor music festival at Addams/Medill Park June 9-11, organizers said.

The lineup announced Wednesday includes: trance godfather Armin Van Buuren; former Swedish House Mafia members Axwell & Ingrosso; Diplo; Dutch house legend Afrojack; Swedish DJ Alesso; Marshmello; trap duo Yellow Claw; Chicago's own Krewella and Louis The Child; Datsik; Galantis; South African crew Die Antwoord; UK house producer Duke Dumont; Zhu and more.

Three-day general admission passes are on sale for $159. VIP passes, for patrons 21 and up, are on sale for $249.

After first announcing Spring Awakening 2016 would take place at Jackson Park in Woodlawn, the fest was eventually staged in Addams/Medill Park last year.

Founded as a concert series in 2008, Spring Awakening promoters decided to launch a two-day outdoor music festival at Soldier Field in 2012, where it was hosted through 2015. But a scheduling conflict with the Copa America soccer tournament booted the fest from Soldier Field last year, and Spring Awakening was forced to find a new home.

Addams/Medill Park also hosted Ruido Fest, Riot Fest's Latin alternative music festival, and Reggae Fest Chicago last summer.
