CHICAGO — Shootings killed eight people and wounded 25 over the weekend, police said.

One person was killed and seven wounded in shootings just since Sunday afternoon.

• At 1:10 a.m. Monday, a 36-year-old man was shot to death in Ukrainian Village.

In non-fatal shootings:

• At 1:45 a.m. Monday, a 28-year-old man was shot in Chatham, police said. The man was sitting in the passenger seat of a car parked in the 7500 block of South Wentworth Avenue when two men walked up and fired shots.

The man was hit in his right hip and was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 12:23 a.m., a 28-year-old man was shot in Englewood, police said. The man was walking on the sidewalk in the 6900 block of South Normal Boulevard when someone in a silver car fired shots at him.

The man was hit in his right hip and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

The man was a documented gang member, a police source said.

• At 8:11 p.m., a 33-year-old man was shot in Austin, police said. The man was walking out of a friend's home in the 600 block of North Leclaire Avenue when someone walked out from behind a tree and shot at him.

The shooter demanded the man's money, police said. The man handed it over and the shooter ran away.

The man was hit in his left calf and was taken to West Suburban Hospital, where he was treated and released, police said.

• At 8:01 p.m., a 36-year-old woman was shot in Brainerd, police said. The woman was in the 600 block of West 95th Street when she was shot in her leg.

The woman was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where her condition was not available but she was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 2:43 p.m., a 16-year-old was shot in Woodlawn, police said. The teen was walking outside in the 6300 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue when someone walked up to him and shot him.

He was hit in his shoulder and was taken to Comer Children's Hospital, where his condition was not available but he was listed as "stable," police said.

• At 2:26 p.m., a 60-year-old man and 31-year-old man were shot and critically wounded in Back of the Yards.

No one was in custody in these shootings.

Shootings killed four people and wounded 12 between Saturday and Sunday, and three people were killed and six wounded between Friday and Saturday.

Also, police shot and wounded a man Sunday night in Albany Park, and police fatally shot a man early Sunday in Garfield Park.
