LOGAN SQUARE — Belly Shack, a beloved Korean/Latin American fusion spot that has called Logan Square home for more than seven years, is closing.

The restaurant, 1912 N. Western Ave., will serve its last customers Saturday, Dec. 24.

Chef/owner Bill Kim and his partners at Cornerstone Restaurants group released a statement, saying they are "grateful to have served the Logan Square community," but did not offer a reason for the closure.

Fans of Belly Shack can still get the eatery's signature dishes as specials at Kim's Urbanbelly locations in Wicker Park and the West Loop

The Tribune was first to report the closure.
