LOGAN SQUARE — The paths around Logan Square proper are clear thanks to a devoted group of neighbors and business owners.

For the second year in a row, local leaders and business owners have pitched in to cover the cost of plowing the paths surrounding the Illinois Centennial Monument as well as the west side of Milwaukee Avenue, the pedestrian crosswalk across Kedzie Boulevard and the angled crosswalk on Logan Boulevard.

Like last year, the cost is between $2,400 and $4,000 for the season.

So far, the following neighbors have pitched in: R.P. Fox & Associates, Logan Square Auditorium, Boulevard Bikes, Lula Cafe, Reno, Play and Logan Square Preservation.

The preservation group organized the effort.
