NEAR WEST SIDE — A 29-year-old man was wounded in a shooting on the Near West Side Tuesday night, Chicago Police said. 

About 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, the man, riding as a passenger in a van, was in the 2300 block of West Adams Street when someone in a dark-colored car began firing, police said.

The man was grazed in his head and was taken to Stroger Hospital. The victim's condition was not released but police considered him to be stable.

Police had no further information. 

Shootings on the South and West sides killed one person and wounded 11 others since Tuesday morning, according to police.
