CHICAGO — Three men were killed and another four were wounded in shootings around the city between Tuesday morning and Wednesday morning, police said.

A 25-year-old man was shot to death in Washington Heights Tuesday morning.

A 43-year-old man died after being shot in Chatham Tuesday night.

A 24-year-old man was found shot to death in Auburn Gresham early Wednesday morning.

• In the most recent non-fatal shooting, at 1:35 a.m. Wednesday, a 25-year-old man was shot twice in his leg while getting out of a car in Morgan Park.

• At 10:35 p.m. Tuesday night, a 56-year-old man was walking on the sidewalk in the 3900 block of West Wilcox Street in West Garfield Park when he heard gunshots and felt pain, according to a police incident report.

The man was brought to Stroger Hospital and treated for gunshot wounds in both his legs, police said. Police could not provide his condition but said he was "stable."

• At 8:52 p.m., a 25-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the 3300 block of West Congress Parkway in West Garfield Park when a man walked up and tried to rob him at gunpoint, police said.

The man tried to grab the gun from the robber, and a shot went off, hitting the 25-year-old in his right leg, police said.

The man brought himself to Stroger Hospital, where he was considered "stable," police said.

• At 2:02 p.m. Tuesday, a man was shot in his right hip in Austin.
