CHICAGO — Police found Said Hayik, 25, shot to death in Washington Heights on Tuesday morning, police said.
At 7:35 a.m., officers responding to a report of a man down found Hayik lying in a gangway in the 9200 block of South Bishop Street, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
Hayik had been shot in the back of his head, Lemmon said.
Hayik, of suburban Cicero, was pronounced dead at 7:59 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. An autopsy showed he died of a gunshot wound in his head in a homicide.
No one was in custody.
