'Blue Mass' Honoring Police Officers Set For Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT — St. Mary of Perpetual Help will host a "Blue Mass" in honor Chicago Police and Illinois State Police officers.

The Mass is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sept. 28 at the church, at 1039 W. 32nd St..

The Rev. Bart Juncer, associate pastor at St. Marty, will preside over Mass, and the Rev. Dan Brandt, of the Chicago Police Chaplains Ministry, will give the homily.

There will be a blessing of badges after Mass.
