BUCKTOWN — A late-hour Bucktown bar from the owners of two other 4 a.m. watering holes — Wicker Park's Estelle's and The Owl in Logan Square— got its business and liquor licenses last week and plans to open this month.

Located at 1910 N. Milwaukee Ave., the 70-seat Remedy is scheduled to open to the public at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, co-owner David Halpern said Monday.

"We are excited to be finally opening. It's been a two-year process and we put a lot of work into the building and improvements," Halpern said.

A managing partner at Four Entertainment Group, which owns Remedy, Halpern said the bar's entry had "overwhelming support from most of the neighbors."

Once open, Remedy's hours of operation will be 4 p.m. to 4 a.m. Monday-Friday; 3 p.m. to 5 a.m. Saturday; and 3 p.m. to 4 a.m. Sunday.

Halpern said that while the late-hour aspect of Remedy will appeal to industry workers who are headed home after finishing up their shifts at other bars, the approach from the start was to be "an anytime bar."

"Although we do have the late-hour license, we set it up and built it out to appeal to the early crowd." Halpern said.

Four Entertainment Group also owns Estelle's Cafe and Lounge, 2013 W. North Ave.; The Owl, 2521 N. Milwaukee Ave.; Easy Bar, 1944 W. Division St. and aliveOne, 2863 N. Halsted St.

Estelle’s has been operating as a late bar for 15 years. The Owl, which opened in 2011, is also a 4 a.m. bar.

Relatively small at just 2,000 square feet, Remedy will have no outdoor seating.

Currently there are 113 Chicago taverns that have a late-hour license, including 17 in the Wicker Park, Bucktown, Logan Square and West Town areas, according to DNAinfo Chicago's 4 a.m. Bar Guide.

Concord Music Hall, 2047 N. Milwaukee Ave., is the closest 4 a.m. spot to Remedy.
