LINCOLN PARK — Less than a year after reconcepting, Trinity Bar is shuttering, according to the food blog Eater.

Ryan Holden, one of the owners of Trinity Bar, 2721 N. Halsted St., told Eater that the pub didn't get enough business to stay open.

It comes just nine months after Holden and his partner and head chef, Mike Sheerin, revamped the bar and launched new food and drink options, including late-night ramen. Before that, it was open for about a decade.

The owners didn't respond to multiple requests for comment.

Holden told Eater that he's in negotiations to sell the bar, but wouldn't disclose the buyer.

The blog pointed out that it's the third recent closure for Sheerin. Packed, an upscale dumpling spot in Hyde Park, closed suddenly in May. Embeya, an acclaimed Pan-Asian restaurant in the West Loop, recently saw the same fate. Sheerin was the chef at both restaurants.
