CHICAGO — Two people have been killed and 10 wounded in shootings since Wednesday, police said.

At 8:08 p.m., Lewis Johnson, 18, was shot to death in West Englewood.

At 1:40 p.m., 34-year-old Lanarris Webster was shot and killed in Garfield Park.

In nonfatal shootings:

• Most recently, at 12:40 a.m. Thursday, a 37-year-old man was shot in Washington Park, said Officer Laura Amezaga, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The man was driving his car in the 5800 block of South Wabash Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain.

The man was shot in the right side of his body, Amezaga said. He drove himself to University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was in critical condition.

• At 9:35 p.m. Wednesday, a 37-year-old man was shot in Bronzeville, Amezaga said. The man was sitting in a parked car in the 4400 block of South Prairie Avenue when another man walked up and opened fire on the car.

The victim was shot in the left side of his neck, Amezaga said. He was taken to Northwestern Hospital in serious condition.

• At 9:15 p.m., a 21-year-old woman and 25-year-old man were shot in Roseland, Amezaga said. The two were driving in the 600 block of East 95th Street when they heard shots and felt pain.

The woman was shot in the left shoulder and left arm and the man was shot in the left arm. They were brought to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where their condition was not released but he was listed as "stable," Amezaga said.

• At 6:30 p.m., a 22-year-old man was shot in Bronzeville, Amezaga said. The man was in the 300 block of East 47th Street when he was shot.

The man was hit in the right hip and was brought to Northwestern Hospital. His condition was not released but he was listed as "stable," Amezaga said.

• At 6:24 p.m., a 33-year-old man was shot in South Austin, Amezaga said. The man was in the 900 block of North Massasoit Avenue when he heard shots and felt pain.

The man was hit in the buttocks and was brought to Mount Sinai Hospital. His condition was not released but he was listed as "stable," Amezaga said.

The man was a documented gang member, police said.

• At 5:50 p.m., a 22-year-old man was shot in North Lawndale, Amezaga said. The man saw a light-colored sedan speeding the wrong way down 1100 South Troy Street. Someone in the car fired shots, hitting the man.

The man was shot in the left shoulder, Amezaga said. He took himself to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was in serious condition.

The man was a documented gang member, police said.

• At 2:40 p.m., a 21-year-old man was shot in Auburn Gresham, Amezaga said.

• At 12:57 p.m., a 17-year-old was shot in North Lawndale. The teen was in critical condition.

• At 12:42 p.m., a 16-year-old boy was shot in South Shore just blocks from where Police Supt. Eddie Johnson was telling a crowd about how police would crack down on violence this summer.
