CHICAGO — Shootings killed two people and wounded three more throughout the city since Sunday afternoon, according to police.

A 35-year-old man shot in his head in Austin was the day's first shooting and homicide, police said. Later, a 17-year-old was fatally shot in his chest in North Lawndale, police said.

• Most recently, a 22-year-old man was wounded in a Belmont Cragin shooting at 12:35 a.m. Monday, police said.

• About an hour before that, a 15-year-old boy was shot in Belmont Cragin, police said.

• A 31-year-old woman was shot at 5:45 p.m. Sunday in Auburn Gresham after a man got into her apartment and attacked her, police said.
