CHICAGO — A 31-year-old woman was shot after a man entered into her Auburn Gresham apartment and attacked her, according to police.

The woman was cleaning her apartment at 5:45 p.m. Sunday in the 7900 block of South Wood Street when the man got into her place, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man began to attack the woman, who tried to defend herself before she was shot in her right arm, Lemmon said.

She managed to get herself to Little Company of Mary Hospital, where she was listed in good condition, Lemmon said.

No arrests have been made.
