3 Killed, 15 Wounded In Shootings Since Saturday Morning, Police Say

CHICAGO — Three men were killed and another 15 people were wounded across the city between Saturday and Sunday morning, police said.

Andres Rivera, 58, was shot to death while eating at his kitchen table in Archer Heights Saturday night, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

A 35-year-old man was gunned down while driving on Lake Shore Drive in Uptown early Sunday morning, Estrada said.

Another man, 26, was found mortally wounded on an Austin sidewalk late Saturday, police said.

A 27-year-old woman was shot while sitting in a car in Little Village early Sunday, Estrada said.

Around the same time, Estrada said, a 20-year-old man was shot during an argument in West Ridge.

• In the most recent non-fatal shooting, around 3:15 a.m. a 21-year-old man was sitting in a parked car in the 4400 block of West Washington Boulevard in West Garfield Park when he heard gunshots and felt pain, Estrada said.

The man was brought to West Suburban Hospital and transferred to Stroger Hospital, where he was treated for gunshot wounds in his left thigh and his scrotum, Estrada said. Police could not provide his condition but said he was "stable."

• Around 3 a.m., a 25-year-old man was walking in the 4400 block of South California Avenue in Brighton Park when someone pulled up next to him in a tow truck and shot at him, police said.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, Estrada said, where he was "stable" with a gunshot wound in his abdomen.

Police said the man is a documented gang member.

• Around 1:30 a.m., police said, a 21-year-old man was walking in the 3800 block of West Adams Street in West Garfield Park when he heard gunshots and felt pain in his right arm.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was "stable," police said.

Police said the man is a documented gang member.

• About 15 minutes earlier, Estrada said, a 35-year-old man was driving in the 4100 block of South Sacramento Avenue in Brighton Park when someone shot at him out of a nearby gray sedan.

The man was brought to Mount Sinai Hospital, Estrada said, where he was "stable" with a gunshot wound in his right arm.

• Around 12:15 a.m., a 27-year-old man was sitting in a parked car in the 4100 block of West North Avenue in the Hermosa neighborhood when he heard gunshots and felt pain in his upper right arm, Estrada said.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, police said, where he was "stable."

Police said the man is a documented gang member.

• Around 11:25 p.m. Saturday night, Estrada said, a 26-year-old man was walking in the 3300 block of West 13th Street in North Lawndale when a group of men walked up and one shot at him.

The man brought himself to St. Anthony's Hospital, Estrada said, where he was "stable" with a gunshot wound in his right shoulder.

• At 9:05 p.m., a 17-year-old was shot about a half-mile away, in the 1300 block of South Lawndale Avenue, police said.

The teen was brought to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said, where he was listed in good condition with a gunshot wound in his left leg.

Police said the teen is a documented gang member.

• Around 7:35 p.m., a 39-year-old man was walking in the 2200 block of South Kirkland Avenue, also in Lawndale, when he heard gunshots and felt pain, police said.

The man was brought to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said, where he was listed in good condition with a gunshot wound in his right leg.

• About 5:40 p.m. Saturday, police said, a 16-year-old boy was walking in the 3300 block of West Washington Boulevard in East Garfield Park when a man walked up and shot him twice in his hip.

The boy brought himself to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.

• Earlier, about 1 p.m., a 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl were standing at a bus stop in the 10200 block of South Michigan Avenue in Roseland when they heard gunshots, police said.

The man was shot in his stomach and left arm, police said. The girl was shot in her right arm.

Both were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, police said, where they were "stable."

• About an hour earlier, a 16-year-old boy got into an argument with a 33-year-old man in the 400 block of West 79th Street in Auburn Gresham when the man pulled out a gun and shot the boy three times in his torso, police said.

The boy was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was "stable," police said.

No one is in custody for any of the shootings, police said.
