LITTLE VILLAGE — A 27-year-old woman was shot while sitting in a parked car in Little Village early Sunday morning, police said.

Around 12:40 a.m., the woman was sitting in the 3600 block of West Cermak Road when someone walked up and shot at her, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The woman was driven to Mount Sinai Hospital, Estrada said, where she was treated for a gunshot wound in the left side of her torso. Police could not provide her condition but said she was "stable."

No one is in custody, police said.
